Oasis Too is a 58' 6-berth shared ownership narrowboat. She is fully owned and managed by us, a friendly bunch. After 3 years of being moored at Norbury Junction on the Shropshire Union Canal Oasis Too was taken to Aqueduct Marina at Church Mishull in October to have a back to metal repaint. Three weeks later she has moved to Alvecote Marina on the Coventry Canal.

Built for the owners of 'Oasis' *, her predecessor in the Ownerships scheme, she was built in Stibbington by Pat Buckle and launched from there by Ownerships in 1997. The winter of 1997 saw terrible flooding on the Nene and this caused Oasis Too to be lifted to the roof of the workshop and proceed to remove its roof! Ten years later in July 2007 she featured on the BBC national news stranded across Pershore Weir on the Avon. She was miraculously, yet again, unharmed by her adventure. Photos here.

She was named Oasis Too rather than Oasis II because the owners were used to explaining to passers-by that "yes, it was also the name of a pop group".

Built to 'owners specification', Oasis Too is similar to other Ownerships boats with a semi-trad stern and a mid galley, she has a bigger bathroom, additional wet cupboard, and only one toilet on board.

In 2005 Oasis Too had a complete repaint by Malcolm Lane and in 2007, we refurbished the boat with new carpets, flooring, curtains and soft furnishings and chairs, a new wash hand basin and some new electical equipment. In 2008 we installed new wet walls and a radiator in the bathroom.
